HIS Youth Minstry
Parents,
How many times do we see children grow up in the church with a seemingly strong commitment to the Lord, but as the teen years approach, attitudes, behaviors, and friends change? With this new set of behaviors (many of which are undesirable for parents and teachers) kids struggle with their relationship with the Lord. The world pulls strongly in the wrong direction and the temptations are too great for many youth. Slowly but steadily they step off of God's trail and before long their life can become a train wreck.
We can bridge the gap between living for the Lord and dealing with the distractions of the world for our Youth. You may be asking how, well we have a Youth Sunday School class that meets every Sunday at 10:00 AM. Also, we have the AWANA program that meets every Wednesday Night at 6:30 P.M. So far in these avenues we are teaching youth and children alike to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and how they can overcome worldly pressures by abiding in GOD's word.

Our goal for Christian education is to know, love and follow Jesus Christ
Our responsibilities as teachers of children and youth are:
To help them come to know Christ by teaching them the stories of GOD and his creation
To help them come to love Christ by loving themselves as Christ has loved us
To encourage the youth to follow Christ by modeling our own commitment as disciples of Christ, as well as offering the young people opportunites to respond as disciples while being mindful of their faith development issues, their age, and their learning abilities
So if you know that your children could benefit from knowing Christ better, please I urge you to bring them out and get them involved in the activities geared towards teaching our children to have a relationship with Christ.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
